How does teeth whitening work?
Before starting treatment, we’ll check the health of your teeth and gums and discuss what you’d like to achieve.
We’ll then create custom-made whitening trays that fit comfortably over your teeth. At home, you’ll place a small amount of professional whitening gel into the trays and wear them for the recommended amount of time each day.
Your teeth will gradually become lighter over the course of treatment, allowing you to achieve a brighter smile while retaining a natural appearance.
It’s important to remember that whitening only changes the colour of natural teeth. Crowns, veneers, bridges and fillings won’t become lighter, so we’ll discuss any existing dental work with you before treatment begins.
